Medication vs Neurofeedback

Many people come to Neurofeedback because they do not want to put themselves or their child on ADHD medication. They may not like the side effects, or do not want to cover up the problem. In some instances medication may be appropriate. However, in other instances Neurofeedback can help with the problem itself eliminating the need for medication. Every case is different and may need a different solution. San Diego  Neurofeedback has treated hundreds of cases in which medication was not needed, or a person was able to titrate down on the medication being used. These decisions should be made between you and your medical doctor. Better regulation of brainwaves  through the help of Neurofeedback can help in many areas of focus , memory , on task behavior and general school and life performance .
